I’ve never been a man of mangas, to tell you the truth. It’s not that i don’t like them, i like them a lot and i love reading, but for some unexplainable reason they don’t seem to catch me that much. In this case, Kodomo no Jikan took me by surprise and made me read ’til the last translated chapter at the moment. I founded the first volume somewhere when i was doing nothing but listening to music and checking some forums and message boards, and there was this thread about Kodomo no Jikan, almost full of whining perverts saying things like “IS JUST A DAMN COCK TEASING” and more among those lines. Saw a couple of pages, and decided to download the entire volume to read it later (you know, later like in “don’t know when, but later”) as it looked kind of interesting at that moment (what the people were saying in the thread wasn’t relevant to me). The .rar was lying there, forgotten in some folder, until certain day that i was darn bored and remembered that manga i’ve had donwloaded last week. And it wasn’t that much interesting, but quite entertaining to read it. So much that i actually kept reading until finishing the first volume.

And what’s Kodomo no Jikan about? well, i’m pretty sure that almost every single fan of lolis already knows what’s this manga about, but put it in few words: a precocious little brat harassing the new teacher and making 60% of his time a living hell. For the lols and for she’s truely interested on him. Now, for someone used to this kind of histories, themes, or just used to see all kind of things in a manga/anime being them the reason itself, isn’t the big deal.

But then again, that’s for people who are used to this kind of things, there are more people out there, and damn, some of them are so retarded to the point of being annoying. Heatened debates had taken place when Kodomo no Jikan was close to reach USA territory, why? seems like some people can’t stand this idea of a precocious little girl being the instigator and not the instigated, and one cannot evade imagine lots of people yelling “ITS CP!! IS ILLEGAL, IS PLAIN WRONG!! YOU’RE SICK AND DISGUSTING” to Seven Seas Entertainment, to the author, and to all the people that think different, people in know that the world isn’t just what is “safe for work”, but wider, much more than that tiny little piece of pink crap that some are trying to forcefuly paint as “the world”

Like said in here ( btw, great job), seems like some people in the USA (and in other parts of the world too) can’t see children as more as just objects, so, to all that kind of people, i have a message for you:

News flash morons –CHILDREN ARE PEOPLE TOO–

They are inteligent beings, they think, and only because the “standar” kids are not interested in sexual things at their ages doesn’t meand that those that aren’t part of that standar, kids that are aware of their sexuality in a certain way, don’t exist, children are different, they’re not all the same, every single person is a world. If you ask me, i think that this isn’t the problem, the problem could not be the fact that this kind of children do exist, that a young girl/boy can be aware of things that are quite “advanced” for their ages, in fact, maybe is not even the think of an adult having some kind of relation with an underaged, maybe the problem lies in other facts… can just be that some people are afraid of having a latent perverted fetish about children? does that means that they’re afraid of being tempted by a little boy/girl? do they think that a kid can seduce them, have some of them already being seduced by one? or in truth they see children just as abusable dildos/ breathing teddy bears?

I can read this fictional history and have fun doing it, and when i’m done i can see a child and it’ll be the same as always, for me, a child is only a child, no less no more. And i could someday meet a preococius young girl, for i know that they exist, but that doesn’t changes my position: a child is only a child. Even if one of them were to try to instigate me, i would never have interest (curves FTW).

That said and getting back to the line, Kodomo no Jikan is a good manga, if you give it a chance, you won’t regret reading it. Also, no complains about the drawing, i like the style of Kaworu Watashiya, as you can see, her lolis are just damn cute, and what to say about Houin-sensei? just one word for great justice: love (or may i change it for “*droooolls*”?)

Oh and if you’re one to flame this, at least read the damn manga before you keep talking about something you don’t really know. If after that, you want to keep flaming and saying that the content is objectionable, don’t friggin’ read the manga again and you can go and annoy someone who cares about your pointless whining desu~
